01 / OVERVIEW
A structured approach to prioritising replacement parts for marine, power and industrial assets.
A critical-spares list should reflect operational consequence, replacement difficulty and realistic supply time. It is not simply a list of every component used by the asset.
Start with equipment whose failure can stop an essential operation. Review service history, known wear components and parts with long or uncertain lead times. Confirm each reference against the installed model and record where the information came from.
The list should remain controlled and reviewable. Record stock quantity, minimum level, storage condition and superseded references, then revisit the plan after major maintenance or equipment changes.
